Mexico City. A control judge based in Almoloya de Juárez, State of Mexico, ordered the prosecution of Luis Fernando Zurita Mora, member of a front company that was used by the company Carregin, to mobilize resources that came from the irregular granting of contracts by the Mexican Food Security (Segalmex), and with which the purchase of thousands of tons of sugar for popular supply was simulated.
The Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office reported that the former representative of Carregin is accused of receiving 1 million 680 thousand pesos from Servicios Integrales Carregin.
According to the information provided, the accused was part of a company created solely (front) for the diversion and dispersion of resources obtained by Carregin through Diconsa, one of the companies that form part of Segalmex.

During the hearing, the Judge granted five months for the additional investigation and preventive detention for the accused, who is currently incarcerated in the Federal Social Readaptation Center number 1, Altiplano, in Almoloya de Juárez.
In the case of Seglamex, the Superior Audit Office of the Federation detected during the review of the 2019 and 2020 public accounts that the companies that make up Segalmex had diverted resources exceeding 12.5 billion pesos.
