The Mexican Luis Urias gave a show of his power in the Big leagues after hitting a two-run homer, but the Brewers (33-28) added their eighth consecutive loss after falling 8-6 against the Nationals (23-38).

Milwaukee can’t find a way out of the crisis, during their downturn they already lost the top of the Central Division to the Cardinals. Wicho’s home run came in the ninth inning and gave some hope to his ninth, however, in the end it was insufficient.

Urías reached six strikes in the season, the Brewers need more from him, since his average continues to be low (.221). Now the Brewers will be looking to avoid being swept by one of the worst squads in MLB.

The outlook seemed ideal for Milwaukee to end its drought. They had on the mound Eric Lauer (5-2), one of his most consistent arms on the year, while opposite was Patrick Corbin (3-8), perhaps the worst starter in the MLB in terms of numbers.

Even that didn’t help, Lauer ate all eight runs at the Nationals, while Corbin took the win.

The Brewers have already been swept by the Padres, the Phillies and the Nationals could join the list. If they don’t win this Sunday, the situation could get worse, since their next rival will be the New York Mets.
