At the beginning of the transmission Corinthians and Flamengo on TV Globo, the narrator Luís Roberto, from the Rio station, “confused” the protest of players from both teams against the changes in the Pelé Law.
The referee whistled the start of the match after the minute of silence and Corinthians rolled the ball, but all 22 players on the field put their hands over their mouths, to demonstrate that they are being silenced by the approval of the changes in the text of the Pelé Law.
Reporter Edson Vianna, who is also part of the broadcast team for the game at Neo Química Arena, clarified the situation minutes later and images recovered with the players with their hands in their mouths were shown.
The demonstration was agreed to take place in all games of this round of the Brasileirão.
Among the complaints of the athletes are the fact that, according to them, only the clubs were heard about the changes. According to the players, they will lose labor rights with the new proposals. After approval in the Chamber of Deputies, last Wednesday, the new version of the Pelé Law will be voted on in the Senate.
