Luis Palma Penalty Miss: Celtic vs Ross County Match Update

Fear: Dylan Gonzalez

It was not the best of games for Luis Palma, despite that Celtic got the three points on matchday 23 of the Scottish League.

The rival in turn was Ross County, a team that put up more resistance than expected, both clubs live completely opposite realities, the Celts are leaders and aim to win a new title, while the visitors are penultimate in the tournament.

Just in the 1st minute, Brendan Rodgers’ team took the lead on the scoreboard, Alistair Johnston put his team ahead, with the ease of the first goal, a rout was in the offing, but it was quite the opposite.

Just at 28 minutes a golden opportunity arose for Luis Palma, the referee sanctioned a penalty that the catracho prepared to take, the one born in La Ceiba took the ball, he was ready to take the shot that was contained by the goalkeeper from County, but from the VAR they called the central referee and told him that the throw would have to be repeated.

A second chance for the former Vida, Palma repeated the maximum penalty and failed again, the catracho’s face reflected frustration at not being able to add one more goal to his tally and extend his team’s advantage.

Palma finished the match with a rating of 6.6 and was substituted after 64 minutes. The scoreboard did not move again throughout the match and Celtic now has 57 points in 23 games.
