The names of Luis Milla and Evan Dimas are trending on social media after the Indonesia vs Bangladesh trial match ended in a draw, Wednesday (1/6).
Indonesia was only able to play a goalless draw when they hosted Bangladesh in the international test match which was held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang, Bandung.
Despite appearing dominant and producing a series of good opportunities, Shin Tae Yong’s squad was unable to score a goal against Bangladesh, who played quite disciplined until the match was over.
A goalless draw against a team that is below Indonesia’s level has made netizens furious. Some of them hope that Luis Milla will be given the trust to replace Shin Tae Yong.
At least until 23.00 WIB, Luis Milla and Evan Dimas entered the top 10 trending figures on Indonesian Twitter.
“Bring back Luis Milla,” wrote @rachmandsyah.
“Shin Tae Yong out. Louis Milla in,” Timpal @ulyn_citizen.
Others criticized Shin Tae Yong’s decision not to play Evan Dimas. Understandably, the former Persebaya and Persija player has often been a regular player in the Indonesian national team in recent years.
“Without Evan Dimas and Ricky Kambuaya, our midfield is nothing,” wrote @MIRHibim.

The draw against Bangladesh could be an evaluation capital for Shin Tae Yong before appearing in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers which will be held on 8-14 June 2022 in Kuwait.
