Colombian Luis Diaz, Liverpool winger, spoke about the impact of the departure of Senegalese Sadio Mane, who joined Bayern Munich in the summer transfers.
Diaz left Anfield this summer after six years at Bayern Munich on a £ 35m contract.
Diaz said in comments reported by the Liverpool Echo newspaper regarding Mane’s departure: “The team was in pieces, it is clear that he is a player that any club will miss.”
He added: “He went to a great club and is working towards his goals, we are aware of the great group we have at Liverpool, we work hard every day to improve, everyone here helps each other and that shows in the matches.”
He spoke of Liverpool’s difficult start to the season, saying: “It’s simple, you have to win and you win, I think winning gives you more confidence, but not only that, playing well and leaving the field after giving everything you have for me. the most important thing”.
“But when that doesn’t happen, we have to try to improve to try to correct in the next match. We are very happy with the victory over Rangers, and now we will rest and prepare for what is to come.”
The Colombian international has scored four goals in all competitions this season for Liverpool, including the decisive draw against Crystal Palace.
