Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan reveal where the state budget is one of the hotbeds of corruption. Luhut also hopes that the corruption prevention system works well, so that there is no corruption in one of its nests.
At first Luhut told of the difficulty of managing electronic catalogs and finally complained to the president Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The restructuring of the electronic catalog was also carried out.
“This year we aim for Rp. 400 trillion to be included in the electronic catalog. It turns out that Rp. 900 trillion is included in the electronic catalog, what people are buying and those produced domestically are close to Rp. 400 trillion,” Luhut said at the launch event. On the other hand, continue Luhut, the funds circulating in the electronic catalog reach thousands of trillion rupees. According to him, this could become a nest of corruption from which digitization must be defended.
“Because the electronic catalog has Rp. 1,600 trillion that we can enter. Rp. 1,200 trillion from government spending and Rp. 400 trillion from SOE. It is the equivalent of USD 105 billion. So we must not look for any kind of corruption, it is wrong . a place of corruption. So the nest, aim. So if we solve this problem, the output will be much better. Therefore, improvements have been made,” Luhut said.
“We have digitized everything. So what else do people want to do with corruption? The money is there,” he added.
Earlier during this event, KPK President Firli Bahuri said that the institution he led had saved state finances up to IDR 57.9 trillion. This figure is for 2022.
“Prevention of corruption is important because through prevention, we have spared potential state losses. The KPK has saved about Rp. 57.9 trillion in state losses in 2022,” Firli said.
Firli then went on to say that the results of the KPK’s corruption prevention could be used for the development of the state. According to him, this is in accordance with the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
“And we can use it to spend to support the success of government programs,” Firli said.
