FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Nicho Silalahi also responded to the statement by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, who again stole the public’s attention.
Previously, Luhut said that the large number of Chinese foreign workers working in the Indonesian mining sector was his own fault.
“It’s nice of you to talk luhut and say, this is our fault,” said Nicho in his statement on the X application @Nicho_Silalahi (25/2/2024).
The Social Media (Medsos) activist said that Indonesian people had previously spoken out against the arrival of workers from home. Even long before.
“For a long time, we have spoken loudly against the entry of unemployed Chinese into this country,” said Nicho.
He also reminded Luhut to be more careful because if a revolution occurred he would be one of the people who would be hunted by the people.
“Remember, if there is a revolution then you are the second person after Jokowi who will be hunted by the people!” he said.
Previously, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan revealed that the lack of skilled Indonesian Human Resources (HR) had encouraged the growth of foreign workers (TKA), especially those from China, in the mining sector and smelter projects in Indonesia.
In recent years, the number of foreign workers in Indonesia, especially those from China, has continued to increase.
The industries in Indonesia that absorb the most foreign workers from China are mining and smelter projects.
One example mentioned by Luhut is the smelter project in the Weda Bay Industrial Area, Central Halmahera.
