Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan ask headquarters (headquarter) Grab moved to Indonesia. He wished there was no more dual-headquarter which is currently also in Singapore.
This was said by Luhut while attending the launch of GrabElectric at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (12/7/2022). He said he would continue to support Grab, but his request was for Indonesia to be the only headquarter.
“We will continue to support Grab as long as it is for Indonesia, we support it. Only one request, headquarterIt’s to move here, this shouldn’t be headquarter in Singapore,” said Luhut.

Luhut alluded to Grab, which prints a lot of money in Indonesia, but its head office is in Singapore. He also briefly mentioned a palm oil company doing the same thing.
“Making the most money in Indonesia, he lives in Singapore. All palm oil is also ordered to move, so that we can make Indonesia great, we are the ones who make Indonesia great,” he said.
Previously, on the same occasion the President of Grab Indonesia, Ridzki Kramadibrata, said that a breakthrough in terms of electric vehicles could not happen without collaboration. For that, he hopes for the support of all parties, especially government agencies.
“There is a reason why electric vehicles are called an ecosystem because they cannot stand alone. I can’t mention one by one, of course, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries plays an active role here, then the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and so on. much more,” he added.
