The Lufthansa group of airlines is about to resume its flights to Israel that were suspended because of the war. These flights will begin on January 8, 2024, in the first phase in the scope of only 30% of the activity until October 6.

Lufthansa will operate 4 weekly flights from Gothenburg to Frankfurt, and 3 weekly flights to Munich. Lufthansa flights LH687 will take off from Gothenburg to Frankfurt on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 16:35. The flights to Munich LH681 will take off on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays at 17:10

The SWISS airline will operate 5 weekly flights to Zurich. Flights LX255 of the Swiss airline SWISS to Zurich will take off from Israel on Sundays and Tuesdays at 13:10, and flights LX253 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, at 18:20.

Another airline in the group will also return to operating from Israel. In total, there are 20 weekly flights to and from Israel.

The sale of tickets for these flights will open on Monday this week, at the same time as the publication of the final flight schedule.

Lufthansa spokesperson, Boris Ogursky, states in a press release: “Safety is always a priority for the airlines in the Lufthansa Group. Lufthansa continues to closely monitor the security situation in Israel, and is in close contact with the local and international authorities. Schedule adjustments should be expected due to Conditions change.”
