The Lufthansa group closed the second quarter of the year with revenues up 17% to 9.4 billion euros, a net profit growing to 881 million euros and an adjusted EBIT at a record 1.1 billion euros. For the whole of 2023 it expects an adjusted Ebit of at least 2.6 billion euros. “Our outlook points to a continued positive development for customers, employees and shareholders, the earnings forecast clearly demonstrates that we are on track to achieve the market objectives we have set for ourselves over the medium term. And this enables us to bring forward the investments of the highest quality planned for our customers”, said the managing director of Lufthansa, Carsten Spohr, commenting on the results of the second quarter, emphasizing, that “thanks to the great efforts of our employees, we have been able to avoid a situation like last summer and once again offer our customers a more stable operation”.
