Thursday writes Euronews Travel that a Lufthansa pilot made a penis-shaped outline on the map.
The plane was supposed to land in the Sicilian city of Catania in Italy, but was told that they had to wait for the descent.
Then the pilot took a 24 kilometer flight east, where the outline of a penis was made above the azure water.
– Seriously, is this okay?
The pattern was discovered by aviation enthusiasts shortly after the maneuver was completed on 28 July. It was noticed on FlightRadar24 their websites.
16 minutes
The plane left Frankfurt in Germany at 13.45 – Landing permission was requested twice before the course was diverted to Malta.
Peed on the flight floor
During the 16 minutes the pilot waited for landing permission, he circled the sky on the east coast of Sicily – creating the penis shape – before the plane returned to its original course.
Euronews Travel writes that local Italian media claim that the disgruntled pilot drew the phallic flight path in protest.
Spokespersons for the airline believe for their part that it was not done on purpose.

Lufthansa claims the shape was created by accident after the plane maneuvered away from the island.
Airport drama
Numerous flights have been cancelled, delayed or diverted from Catania in recent weeks, after a fire forced the closure of a terminal at the airport.
SAC, the company that manages the airport, has been criticized for slow response and poor communication with the airlines.

Lufthansa says they were told that a “sudden change in the wind” was the reason why the flight from Frankfurt was not allowed to land at their airport on July 28, writes the newspaper Corriere della Sera
– For this reason, the pilot had to remain waiting, before he tried to land again. This was also not successful, says a spokesperson to the Italian newspaper.
