The German aviation group Lufthansa Group will resume flights to Tel Aviv from January 8. Many airlines stopped flying to Israel due to the war between the country and Hamas.
The airlines of the Lufthansa Group, which in addition to Lufthansa include Eurowings and Austrian Airlines, will offer twenty weekly connections to and from Tel Aviv. That is about 30 percent of the regular flight schedule.
The group emphasizes that safety remains “top priority”. “Lufthansa Group continues to closely monitor the security situation in Israel and is in close contact with local and international authorities.”
The company says travelers should expect possible adjustments to the flight schedule “due to changing circumstances”.
