Ludwigslust-Grabow Public Facilities and Vewoba Open Joint Customer Center at Lindencenter: Prices Increase and Renovation Completed Quickly

Until a few months ago there was a game room in the rooms at the end of the outdoor arcade of the Lindencenter. Now you can find out about the supply contracts for electricity and gas, ask about housing offers in Ludwigslust, ask about the Building Energy Act and much more. The Ludwigslust-Grabow public facilities and the town housing company Vewoba is opening a joint customer center in the shopping centre.

“As a municipal company, we want people to have short and direct routes to us,” says Stadtwerke managing director Viola Bortsch. “Because that is our strength: we are here on site.” In this way, Vewoba tenants could use their purchases to express their concerns to Vewoba, said Eckhard Will, managing director of the housing association. “The employee in the customer center is directly connected to their colleagues in the office to clarify matters as quickly as possible. “

According to Viola Bortsch, the idea of establishing such a user center in the Lindencenter is many years old. When the city utilities rented offices there recently, it came back on the agenda. “But we haven’t had a place for it until now,” said center manager Andrea Danda, who welcomed the two managing directors to the new rooms. The amended gambling law provided the solution – the gaming hall had to move due to proximity to school.

This was like a shell; basically everything had to be rebuilt.

After the arcade operator served a termination notice, the Lindencenter and the two city companies were able to sign the lease agreement. But then craftsmen had to be found to expand the rooms. “It was like a shell here, basically everything had to be rebuilt,” said Andrea Danda. “I didn’t think we could do it in such a short time.”

Companies completed the renovation work very quickly

The company Salow from Karstädt installed all the electricity, the company Tiedcke from Glaisin installed the heating system, and the company Conser took care of the drywall, flooring and painting work. “The work was completed within a quarter of a year,” said Andrea Danda with gratitude.

The manager believes that the new tenants are a benefit to the customers of the Lindcenter. “You can shop here, go to the doctor, pharmacy or physiotherapist and now also to municipal facilities and the Vewoba,” says Andrea Danda. “Actually, this is the center of the city. “

The customer center opens with a small celebration

The customer center will be opened on Saturday, April 27, on MV Energy Day, with customers and interested parties attending a small ceremony. Visitors are welcome from 10am to 1pm – also to find out more about the subject of energy. It will then resume regular operations on Monday. Six municipal utility workers – the entire sales department – will be based there. According to Viola Bortsch, the municipal facilities building on Wasserturmweg will then become an administrative space only.

The customer center is open Monday from 10am to 12pm, Tuesday from 1pm to 6pm, Thursday from 1pm to 4pm and Friday from 10am to 12pm. A Vewoba employee is always on site on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
