Ludwigshafen – The Ludwigshafen owls get the first point in Potsdam – /// MRN-News.de

Ludwigshafen / Potsdam. The Eulen Ludwigshafen handball team scored their first point of the new season on Saturday evening with a 26:26 draw at 1. VfL Potsdam. The score was already 12:12 at half-time. The owls had to do without Christian Klimek, Julius Meyer-Siebert, Max Neuhaus and Lion Zacharias in Potsdam. Since Klimek injured his eye in training and had to have an operation, the Owls signed the 25-year-old Russian Sergey Gorpishin at short notice. The Eulen Ludwigshafen started well and were mostly ahead in the first half, even leading twice (7:3 and 8:4) by four goals. After the 14:13 in the second half by Sebastian Trost in the 35th minute, Potsdam was mostly in the lead and in the 54th minute they were four goals ahead at 24:20. In the last three minutes, Eulen captain Maximilian Haider scored three goals and scored twice to equalize 25:25 and 26:26. The best owl throwers were Sebastian Trost with five goals and Enes Keskic and Jannek Klein with four goals each. The Eulen Ludwigshafen have improved with the away point to 16th place in the 2nd league. The next Eulen home game will not take place until Friday, September 30th at 7:30 p.m. against TuS N-Lübbecke in the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Ludwigshafen.
