The aim is to create work incentives, improve financing conditions and limit energy costs. “If the measures are implemented quickly and expanded, for example in the important transport infrastructure, we will make some progress,” says Boucsein. “But getting them into business practice is the problem.”
Persistently weak demand
Companies keep giving feedback that there is no shortage of declarations of intent or proposals from politicians, but rather a lack of implementation. “We keep hearing from companies that an overall concept for sustainable growth in turbulent times is needed,” says Boucsein. A concept that will stimulate business investment and private consumption again.
Trumpf expects that the persistently weak demand will also shape the coming months of the current financial year. However, according to the statement, the mechanical engineering and laser specialist wants to tackle the economic crisis as usual “with clear measures to improve earnings”. After all, the number of employees across the group has increased from 18,352 in the 2022/23 financial year to around 18,550 in the 2023/24 financial year.
