During Wednesday it became clear that Ludvig Östman is going to recently relegated Oskarshamn in their HA restart.
The full-back came as a great find from Ettan and Borlänge, and was almost flawless initially as an equally effective and energetic defensive back.
But Östman has stagnated and regressed almost a little since then. Lacks size as a defensive back and would have needed to be a little quicker for more success.
However, I think a change of environment is perfect for the 25-year-old and he can certainly flourish in Oskarshamn as a good defensive fullback.

The blog received more information from the deepest recesses of Almtuna from a well-versed in that club/industry about the new VIK back Olle Norberg20. Norberg, who can perhaps be said a little, replaces Östman as a younger fullback with better size and more probable potential.
– Olle Norberg has good size (188/85), mobility, good game sense and a perfectly fine shot. Could be better to stop the game and use more physics.
– Is strong and fit. A great guy and teammate. There is a lot of potential in the guy and it will be very interesting to see him in a different environment.
What role do you see him playing in VIK?
– Two-way with potential. 6th-7th back in VIK I think.
Is Norberg more offensive or defensive?
– Would still say more offensive. If all the pieces fall into place, it will be an SHL defender – but needs to get more “grit” into his game. Too kind.

VIK J20 was in a bad position in terms of attitude at home against their neighbors Hanviken on Wednesday evening, 1-2 after 20 minutes.
Nervousness/underestimation made it feel like it was going to take a lot for points tonight considering that the shooting was, as I said, almost non-existent before.
This since previously the first chain with Karl Andersson, Gustaf Kangas and Hugo Lejon completely lost the offensive in the qualifier. Lucky then that others have stepped forward.
Huge puck caterpillar bit by bit. Weak even in the second and chicken yard in own zone and close to 1-3 via several frame hits, but finally nice shooting by Dorthe, Pantzare and a delicious finish Lilja gave 4-2 before the third. But could just as easily have been 4-5.
In the third, perhaps the team’s most explosive forwards Dorthe and Cederborg pulled off a quick class attack and Elvin Håkansson got a huge hit with the crossbar, so in the end the shooting came.
6-3 in the end after retroactive distribution as VIK in previous matches played well but shot/finished less well – tonight it was just the opposite.
But VIK must level up to salvage the two points needed to complete the contract, because the carelessness tonight did not make the hockey gods happy. So if it continues it will punish itself.
However – if Björklöven wins in Malmö on Thursday evening, the contract is ready already then.
