He takes over from Sylvie Baqué. The new leader now also occupies the post of CEO of STAS Saint-Étienne.
Ludovic Jourdain was appointed director of Transdev in the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes region on January 4. He replaces Sylvie Baqué and now also holds the post of CEO of STAS Saint-Étienne.
This graduate of Neoma Business School Rouen and the Institut de l’Environnement Urbain joined Transdev in 2002. The group entrusted him with the management of the suburban network of the Strasbourg Transport Company, before taking the head in 2005 of the network of Chalon-sur-Saône. He had deployed on-demand transport, restructured the network around a high-level bus line and oversaw the renewal of the public service delegation contract.
In 2013, he managed the urban network of Chambéry, to integrate 5 years later the urban network of STAS and its 700 employees. At that time, major developments took place in the Saint-Etienne network, with the inauguration of the extension of the third tram line, the deployment of the 1st MaaS moovizy service on a metropolitan scale, or even the serving new municipalities or even operating IMC trolleybuses. More recently, the challenge of managing a metropolitan urban network has arisen during a pandemic.
Manage all activities in the greater region
The challenge now is to manage all of Transdev’s activities in a large region with 3,600 employees and which is piloting several innovative projects, such as the deployment of the MaaS moovizy application, progress made towards the energy transition of several networks. or the opening of the Transdev Academy in Saint-Étienne, while ensuring optimal quality of service to users.
Ludovic Jourdain, as regional director, wishes to “guarantee Transdev’s commitment to social inclusion, ensure the well-being of its employees and respond to the environmental challenges that will place the company as a leader in sustainable mobility in this great region ”.
“Our objective as a partner of local authorities and a mobility operator is to ensure a real transformation of our economic model towards low-carbon mobility. Hence our commitment to rapidly convert the vehicle fleet in our territory to a growing share of low and zero emission vehicles and we are already well advanced in this direction, with electric, BioNGV and soon hydrogen ”, said the new director.
