Ludesco: festival-goers expected in numbers at La Chaux-de-Fonds

Ludesco, the biggest festival in Switzerland entirely dedicated to games, will offer more than 900 games during its 11th edition which will take place from March 20 to 22 in La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE). Last year, 10,000 players participated in the event.

During 55 hours non-stop, festival-goers will be able to discover, in particular, board games, escape games and life-size games, the organizers announced on Tuesday. Sorcerer’s duels, Hunger Games archery or Jungle Speed ​​games in a swimming pool are on the program.

Certain games will allow costumed players to relive an unknown period of French history or to unravel the true from the false by trying to escape from the womb. The latest creations from the game world can also be tested during the festival.

The event is designed for many different audiences. Games are planned for enthusiasts as well as for families, the visually impaired or for adolescents with games of Werewolves at Hogwarts. Outside, a Mölkky tournament is on the program.

Related to current events

Ludesco also offers games linked to current events. Some will address the theme of the environment and biodiversity or that of survival and collapse. A discovery of games from around the world is also on the program, as are 70 original animations.

To operate, the Ludesco association is made up of 45 people. During the festival, she is supported by 180 volunteers.
