Geometric art on canvas. Brushes that leave a mark on the soul, the portrait of what is longed for. That is the passion that moves Lucrecia Chinchilla, an artist and architect who in the bright colors that characterize her works found the passion that little by little became her dream job.
“I started accidentally, because in 2020, when this issue of the pandemic exploded, and I have always had this inclination towards art, since I was little I have always been very involved in it and I have always gone to painting courses and classes, but I never “I had dedicated myself to doing it more constantly, so the gap opened up because we had a lot of time,” the artist mentioned to Diario Co Latino.
For Chinchilla, art defines her being, a form of expression and personal development that has also become a way of living, between the brushes, the colors and the eternal portraits that she draws every day not only for herself. , but also for people who love this craft, this artist draws happiness for others.
“Like everything in art, be it music, writing, painting, sculpture, it is a form of expression (…), I love being able to bring joy to many people, because most of the time the portrait is about pets who suddenly are no longer there, or a family member. That there is a little of that in different places is priceless,” she said.
“I also love when they ask me for portraits of people because it is a challenge, it is super challenging to capture the essence of a person. For what it means, I like when people ask me for a portrait of a pet that is no longer with us in this earthly world, then, they are tribute paintings,” he added.
The artist mentioned that most of her clients’ favorite paintings are about their pets, to eternalize the portrait of one of the best friends of human beings and assured that these, because of the meaning, are her favorite drawings.
Geometric art was born as an inspiration from other artists, which later became a source of people’s admiration for Lucrecia, for how she transmits and returns a part of her feelings between the canvases.
“Through lines that are completely geometric we can obtain an almost realistic three-dimensional result, so I began to explore this world to give it depth, to use different colors and that’s how I got hooked,” he mentioned.
