As usual, the “Mego Big Lottery” takes place twice a year, giving customers of the store network the opportunity to win impressive prizes.
The luckiest draw in December went to Maia Adamova, who on December 13, after the award ceremony, went home from the official Škoda representative Green Motors with the keys to a new Škoda city crossover Kamiq.
“I saw an advertisement in the store and got into the game! Since I always shop there, I thought – why not participate? I’ve never won anything before, I didn’t even really believe it was possible!” Maija shares the joy.
“When I got the call, at first I thought I was being pranked!” she laughed. But in person, receiving the car keys in her hands, the woman’s face was adorned with a smile.

What is interesting – when registering for the lottery, she hoped to get a new vacuum cleaner in the best case scenario, but fortune had bigger plans, and Maia now has a new motor vehicle especially suitable for Latvian roads.
“Green Motors” marketing manager Ieva Siugale states that the car dealer has been successfully cooperating with the “Mego” store network for several years. This is the sixth vehicle that has gone to one of the lucky buyers who registered for the “Mego Big Lottery”. Three of the cars were won in Riga.
“Mego” marketing manager Alexander Afanasyev states that this is already the 15th big lottery. Maia won the big prize thanks to two purchased products – “Cido” iced tea and “Baltais” yogurt. More than 60 checks were registered in the May lottery.
“Making someone happy like that is cool!” adds Alexander, noting that it’s always nice to see how a person flourishes, realizing that the shiny, new car is really his property.
Compared to the previous year, the lottery that took place in autumn attracted 30% more participants, the number of which increases every year. Riga residents were the most active this time, representing 35% of all lottery participants. Buyers were also active in Daugavpils, Ventspils and Jelgava.
Prize fund – over 30,000 euros
In addition to the “Mego” car, the lottery also won ten vacuum cleaners from “Evelatus”, 50 gift cards worth 50 euros from “Mēnes aptiekas”, 50 gift cards worth 100 euros from “Lieliska pånada” and 100 gift cards worth 50 euros from “Mego”.
In order to participate in this lottery, the buyer must buy two products from the brands represented in the lottery at the “Mego” store and register a check. The total prize pool is more than 30,000 euros. More information can be obtained on the website Megoloterija.lv.
Also next year – the year of the 25th anniversary of the “Mego” store chain – it is planned to surprise the loyal customers in an equally impressive way.
The end of this year’s “Mego” is a busy and active time, because on December 19, Jelgava will open the largest chain store in terms of area. Maia will have the opportunity to travel there with the new Škoda vehicle!
