A person was flown by air ambulance to hospital after a car drove off the road on the Hardangervidda.
–
The precipice that the car has fallen off should be around 10-20 meters, says operations manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen to VG.
The accident is said to have happened along national road 7 at Litlastølshallet in Eidfjord municipality.
There were two people in the car, both were injured, but were awake and conscious when they were transported to hospital, according to police. One was flown by air ambulance, while the other was taken to Voss hospital.
– This could have gone wrong to put it that way, they are lucky to be alive, says the operations manager to VG at 09 o’clock.
– It looks like the car has rolled down along the cliff edge. If they had driven straight out, it would probably have been different, he continues.
The injured are two foreign men in their 30s, according to the operations manager, and the police are now working to find out who they are.

When the emergency services arrived at the accident site, it must have been inclement weather and around minus eight degrees. The people who were rescued may thus have been chilled while waiting for help, according to Dahl-Michelsen.
The injured must have notified of the accident themselves. Poor coverage and communication problems still made it difficult to find the accident site.
– They do not speak Norwegian or English, and have thus called via someone else who had to interpret what they said, Dahl-Michelsen says.
Although both were awake and proved, they must have expressed that they were injured.
