From time to time, Louise Womack is tempted to put the house she lived in up for sale. The four-bedroom single-family home in which she raised her family with her husband, Laurence, can be difficult to follow.
After Laurence’s death in 2013 and with “Lou” retired, using half of his income to pay the mortgage and keep up with maintenance, the temptation to sell was strong. And yet one thing would keep coming to his mind: it was his home. And that’s what really matters.
“I love where I am now,” Louise said during a telephone interview from Oklahoma on Sunday. We built this house. Maintaining the house was important to me, the only thing we both did together.
