After the promulgation of the supreme decree that proposes a series of modifications to the statute of the Magisterial Spillamong which are changes in the Board of Directors, the Unitary Union of Education Workers of Peru (Sutep) came forward to accuse the President Pedro Castillo to want to take over this private institution in order to hand it over to their union National Federation of Education Workers of Peru (Fenate Peru).
“The Prosecutor’s Office has pointed out that Castillo and his union, political and family environment is a criminal organization. And that network has seen the State as loot and now it has set its sights on another loot: The Magisterial Spill”, denounced Lucio Castro, secretary general of Sutep, in an interview with the newspaper Correo. He added that the president always had among his plans to end the institution and recalled some actions he had carried out in recent months.
“Castillo said that he was going to liquidate the Spill because the return of the contributions is concatenated with the liquidation of the Spill. With Sutep he has not been able. When he entered the Government, he appointed Iber Maraví who was from the Shining Path and he gave legality to his government union: the Fenate. Castillo doesn’t care about anything. The criminal organization headed by Castillo seeks to seize the Spill”, he added.
Along these lines, the leader of Sutep mentioned that the rule approved by the Government is unconstitutional according to the consultation they have made to various lawyers. For this reason, he announced that his union will take legal measures so that the decree is repealed as soon as possible so that the Teacher Spill is not harmed and captured by other unions.
“A constitutional complaint against Pedro Castillo and his Minister of Education (Rosendo Serna). There will be protection actions that will be presented by thousands of professors affiliated with the Spill and a criminal complaint for abuse of authority. Thousands of teachers feel betrayed.” pointed.
on the eve, Luis Spinoza, president of the Teacher Spill, had also shown his rejection of the norm that affects the autonomy of his institution. “This rule that the government has generated is an attack on the social security of teachers, it is an attack on a private entity, such as the Teachers’ Fund and it is an attack on the funds that teachers have in the Teachers’ Fund. It is a way of appropriating by force everything that the Magisterium has been building over time”, indicated yesterday in RPP News.
Furthermore, Espinoza mentioned that “This norm is totally unconstitutional since the State, whether Executive or Legislative, does not have the power to legislate on a private entity, as is the case of the Magisterial Spill.” He added that the statute of this organization establishes that any change can only be made by themselves.
“90% of the appointed Teachers (who make up the Teaching Spill) must be sure that this Directory is going to continue fighting, it is going to defend the patrimony that the Spill has, which is the patrimony of the teachers, and, in addition, the social security system”, Indian.
“We are activating the entire legal apparatus and if this does not have support at the national level, we will be reaching international levels. It is up to us to defend the teacher’s funds. A totally unconstitutional norm, which wants to snatch teachers’ funds for interests alien to teachers, cannot pass “he added.
Spinoza emphasized that Neither the Executive Power nor the Congress of the Republic can make changes in its organization.
