Lucid Motors has released the final specs of its Lucid Air Sapphire, a luxury electric sports sedan rivaling the Tesla Model S Plaid.
The car has 1,234 horsepower and 161 Nm of torque.
0-97 km/h in 1.89 seconds, 0-161 km/h in 3.84 seconds, 1/4 mile in just 8.95 seconds at 254 km/h.
The top speed is 330 km/h and the range is up to 687 km on a single charge (EPA standard). Consumption is 5.8 km/kWh.
It’s this efficiency that Hagerty’s team says it’s the fastest production car they’ve ever seen. After beating a Tesla Model S Plaid, a Bugatti Chiron, and a Ducati in the quarter-mile race.
Priced at around $8.7 million in the US, the Lucid Air Sapphire is only slightly more powerful than the Tesla Model S Plaid, but more than double the price of the $8 million later model.
