President Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis rate it would be nice if Luciano Spalletti endure. However, if Allenatore really doesn’t feel comfortable anymore, he is willing to let her go.
Spalletti is making a name for himself in the city of Naples after bringing Napoli to win the 2022/2023 Italian League. This is Napoli’s first Scudetto since last time with Diego Maradona in 1990.
Naturally, if Spalletti is now asking for compensation from Napoli in the form of a new contract and salary increase. The reason is that Spalletti’s stay is only left until this summer, even though there is an automatic contract extension clause for a year.
However, the clause in the old contract does not include an increase in salary which is currently around 3.2 million euros per season, which is high for a Serie A coach. Unfortunately, Spalletti’s request was ignored by De Laurentiis as the club owner.
De Laurentiis seemed ignorant and still used the old contract as a reference. This annoyed Spalletti and threatened to leave Napoli this summer, despite an 8 million euro fine awaiting him.
Regarding the new contract dispute with Spalletti, De Laurentiis spoke up. The man who also works as a film producer actually wants to keep Spalletti, but will not get in the way if the bald-headed coach is no longer comfortable coaching the club.
“Spalletti is our mainstay and he has to find the right club to bring out his best,” De Laurentiis said. The Gazzetta delo Sport.
“He found him with us and everything went well. Of course it would have been better if he had stayed, but in life freedom is priceless. I can’t hold anyone back, because they have to be able to live without me.”
“The most important thing is to be grateful for what we got.”
Luciano Spalletti has gone through 93 matches with Napoli with 60 wins, 15 draws, and 18 defeats. There were 192 goals scored and only 86 goals conceded.
