The president of PNL Sălaj, Lucian Bode, greeted, on Sunday, in a post on a social network, the election of the liberal Cristian Lazăr as Şimleu Silvaniei, specifying that he is the youngest mayor in Romania.
“Şimleu Silvaniei chose well this time too! He chose Viitorul! The victory of the young liberal Cristian Lazăr in the local elections in Şimleu Silvaniei is the victory of the whole community! Of a community that chose the future and that looks forward with confidence. (…) It was an intense, clean campaign, built in a bold approach, primarily focused on projects, in which he received the positive and constructive message “, wrote Lucian Bode, on his Facebook account.
The 27-year-old mayor, elected after Sunday’s election, is, according to PNL leader Sălaj, the youngest mayor in Romania.
PNL candidate Mihai Cristian Lazăr won the position of mayor of Şimleu Silvaniei, obtaining over 50% of the votes in Sunday’s by-elections.
The position was vacant after the previous mayor, also from PNL, Septimiu Țurcaș, who is also the cousin of the chief prosecutor of DNA, Crin Bologa, was definitively convicted for corruption.
