Lucescu finished his career

Mircea Lucescu announced his resignation from the position of head coach of “Dynamo” Kyiv. SIA informs that the 78-year-old expert said this after the game they lost 0:1 against Shakhtar in the 13th round of the Ukrainian championship. He said that he has finished his coaching career: “I don’t want to talk about the game today. I want to say that I dedicated 15 years to Ukrainian football. I decided to end my career here. This was the last game. I said goodbye to my players, Shakhtar. Thank you all. I would have liked to end it differently, but everything comes to an end. Everything has a beginning and an end.”

It should be noted that “Dynamo” Kyiv is currently on the 7th place in the tournament table of the Ukrainian championship, having collected 16 points from 10 games. It should be noted that “Dinamo” was the second Ukrainian club for Lucescu in his career. He has coached the Kyiv representative since 2020. Before that, the specialist worked as the head coach of the Ukrainian “Shakhtar” and led the club in 2004-2016. The 78-year-old specialist also coached the Turkish national team, “Inter”, “Zenit”, “Galatasaray” and “Besiktas”. Mirca is among the top 15 coaches in terms of the number of victories in the Champions League. He has 35 trophies as a coach. According to this indicator, only Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola are ahead of him.
