Lucca, 28 October 2024 – Un Grendizer with a French accent and a new beginning for the TV series on Raidue. For fans of yesterday and today, Lucca Comics & Games pays homage to one of the most popular characters of “made in Japan” comics and animation.
The Lucca festival hosts the French artists Brice Cossu, Alexis Sentenac and Xavier Dorison (BD and J-POP Manga Editions) with the volume Grendizer, the official sequel to the Go Nagai series.
From the comic to the TV series: forty-nine years after the Japanese debut of the anime, which was then broadcast in Italy with enormous success starting in 1978, Rai brings Comics & Games to Lucca – preview – “Goldrake U” (original title “Grendizer U”) reboot of the 1970s animated series “UFO Robot Grendizer”, based on the manga by Go Nagai.
On the initiative of Rai – which acquired the rights from the French company Mangouste Anim which holds the distribution of the series produced by the Gaina studio – Prince Duke with the robot Grendizer will return soon on Rai 2, for the first time, e a Lucca Comics & Games Friday 1 November in the panel “Goldrake, the myth from Ufo Robot to Grendizer U” (at 1pm in the San Girolamo Auditorium) alongside the screening of the first 24-minute episode – of the 13 scheduled for broadcast – the presentation of the essay by Marco Pellitteri “Goldrake from A to U. Origin, journey and return of the Sentinel in the blue, 1975-2024”, published by Rai Libri.
