Lucasfilm Announces The Mandalorian Movie Directed by Jon Favreau – Production Starting in 2024

Lucasfilm announced on January 9, local time, that it will adapt the original Star Wars drama “The Mandalorian” into a movie. The film will be directed and produced by Jon Favreau, and production is expected to begin in 2024. The release date has not been disclosed.

The original title is “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni are also involved in producing.

Director Favreau said, “I love telling stories within the rich world created by George Lucas.It’s so exciting to bring The Mandalorian and his disciple Grogu to the big screen.” ” commented.

Lucasfilm President Kennedy added, “Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni created two beloved characters in Star Wars, and we believe the new stories of these characters are perfect for the big screen in movie theaters.” ”

“The Mandalorian,” the first live-action Star Wars drama series, is currently streaming seasons 1 to 3 on Disney+. Additionally, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray & Blu-ray of Season 1 will be released on March 27th and Season 2 will be released on April 24th.
