Lucas Bergvall, 17, is hot on the market and has been rumored away from Djurgården for a long period, not least to Barcelona.
On New Year’s Day, information came that the La Liga club backed out as Djurgården wants at least 15 million euros, equivalent to approximately SEK 167 million.
– Some time ago I had contact with Barcelona. I have said that before. Then I have nothing more to say about it, really, said sports director Bosse Andersson to Fotbollskanalen at the time.
Now Turkish Fotomac reports that Galatasaray are also interested in the giant talent, who has a contract with Djurgården over 2025.
Fotomac writes that the Turkish big club is looking for “new Pirlo” and that its sporting management should have presented Bergvall, as an interesting name, to coach Okan Buruk.
Bergvall has also been linked with Inter, Arsenal, Manchester City, Juventus, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Atalanta, RB Leipzig and Rennes.
He scored two goals and one assist in 25 Allsvenskan games last season.
Galatasaray is second in the Süper Lig, with the same number of points as rivals Fenerbahce.
