Lucas Bergvall is ready for Tottenham.
On his 18th birthday, the Swedish midfielder signed a five-year contract with the big club.
It is Djurgården’s biggest sale ever.
After a long period of speculation, it is now official.
Djurgården sells Lucas Bergvall to Tottenham and according to English media reports the price tag is just over SEK 113 million, plus future bonuses.
The Stockholmers announce, without going into sums, that it is their biggest sale of all time.
“A dream”
Bergvall, who turns 18 on Friday, has passed the medical examination and signed a five-year contract with the PL giant. However, he will only join in the summer, July 1, after a spring season in the Allsvenskan. The last match on Swedish soil for a while may thus be June 2 in the derby against Hammarby.
– It is a fantastic feeling to sign for Tottenham and a dream to have the opportunity to play in the Premier League. I have received an incredibly warm reception from the club and feel really welcome, says the 18-year-old on Djurgården’s website.
The midfielder left BP for Djurgården a year ago. Brommapojkarna therefore have a 20 percent resale clause.
