Luca Marini crashed in the sprint race MotoGP India 2023. Racer Mooney VR46 Racing Team it suffered a fracture and missed Sunday’s race.
Sprint race MotoGP India took place at the Buddh International Circuit, Saturday (21/9/2023) evening WIB. This session was postponed due to heavy rain.
The incident occurred shortly after the sprint race opened. The front tire of Marini’s motorbike hit his teammate’s rear tire, Marco Bezzecchiwhen about to enter Turn 1.
Body Luca Marini fell to the side of the track, while Bezzecchi was still able to control the motorbike and continue the sprint race. The Italian rider was immediately taken to the medical center.
The results of the examination showed that Marini had a broken collarbone. Valentino Rossi’s half-brother was declared unfit to race MotoGP India 2023 Sunday (24/9).
On the one hand, MotoGP imposed sanctions on Marini for the incident that occurred at Turn 1. LM10 received a long lap penalty in the series when he made his comeback.
“FIM MotoGP Stewards imposed a long lap penalty on Luca Marini for causing contact at Turn 1. This penalty applies to the next Grand Prix race in which he participates, which will not be held tomorrow because unfortunately Luca was declared unfit due to a broken left collarbone. The 2023 Indian MotoGP sprint race was ultimately won by Pramac Ducati rider Jorge Martin. He beat two world champions, Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.
