Mooney VR46 racer Luca Marini secretly has plans to leave the team
JUARA.NET – VR46 racer Luca Marini was reportedly approached by the Repsol Honda team last week.
Unexpectedly, Luca Marini was apparently on the list of racers approached by Honda.
Some time ago, the media reported that the Repsol Honda team manager, Alberto Puig, reportedly spoke with Marini at the Thailand MotoGP last week.
However, Valentino Rossi’s younger brother reportedly did not follow up on the offer and will remain with VR46 for the next season.
Regarding this issue, Marini explained that currently he has a contract with his team and wants to do a good job.
Even so, Marini did not deny that Honda’s offer was attractive.
It’s just that now is not the right time to leave VR46.
“Now I have a contract with my team for next season and I have to do a good job, because we have a lot of potential ahead of us,” Marini reacted.
“But of course you think as a rider to be in that position, because it is an extraordinary position even though the Honda is not the best bike now.”
“I think Honda will again have a competitive bike to fight in the World Championship.”
