Luca Marini and the move to Honda: “I wanted an official team”

Luca and the new adventure in the official Tokyo team: “It’s a challenge, I’ll do everything I can to bring them back to the top: I was looking for a Factory team and the Academy helped me. Ducati has never made me feel unimportant, but the more you are the higher it helps you”

Luca Marini has grown up, he has left his comfort zone and has taken on the great challenge, away from the all-conquering Ducati and onto Honda which has struggled more and more in recent seasons. On Tuesday, in Valencia, there was the debut of the new RC213V, completely revolutionized and, according to its new partner Joan Mir, significantly better in all areas compared to the previous one. Marini ended the day in 10th place and from what emerged, the Japanese technicians were extremely happy with the first contact with Valentino Rossi’s brother, very analytical, sensitive in his explanations and perceptions. For contractual reasons, Luca will not be able to talk about Honda until the beginning of 2024, but on the weekend in Valencia, before the announcement of his farewell to VR46 and his arrival at Honda, he told us about his new adventure.
