The situation that is being experienced with the Israel-Palestine war has already reached North American territory, where even A member of the New York Red Bulls academy ended up being a victim during the attacks in New York City on Friday.
Through a post on his Instagram account, Luca Lewis, a goalkeeper for the New York Red Bulls academy, recounted the unfortunate situation he had to experience on Friday in the streets of New York City in which several subjects approached him with a knife because of the war between Israel and Palestine.

“Normally I don’t usually talk about political issues, but on Thursday night I was very upset and I think everyone should know.. Growing up between Italy and New York, I had never been a victim of discrimination, but after feeling it personally, I decided to speak out, “he wrote on Instagram
According to Lewis, several people approached him as he walked the streets of New York and They asked him if he was Jewish: “Obviously I said no, but then I turned around and asked him what if he had been Jewish?”. Lewis added that one of the Muslims came face to face threateningly and said, “I will beat you up and kill you.”
Fortunately for Lewis, a group of women out there yelled at the guys to stop. and they continued to walk normally, however, Lewis added that “I don’t know what would have happened if I had seen myself Jewish. Jews must be afraid to walk in New York.”
Finally, Lewis made a call for peace and sentenced: “this happened to me, but it could have happened to you, so stay safe and help promote peace between the beautiful countries of Israel and Palestine. Why promote violence when peace is the best alternative.
Lewis is a goalkeeper for the MLS New York Red Bulls academy, a club that has its facilities in the city of HarrisonHowever, the goalkeeper did not specify where he was walking when this unfortunate incident occurred.
