JAKARTA – Trainer U-19 Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, has plans to target several descendants in order to strengthen his current squad. This was conveyed by the 50-year-old coach at a press conference that took place at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 yesterday.
Looking at the plan, the name Luca Everink might be another option for Shin Tae-yong for the U-19 Indonesian national team. Luca Everink is a right-back player who defends FC Twente U-19.
Luca himself has Indonesian blood from his father. His opportunity to strengthen the U-19 Indonesian National Team is quite wide because until now he has not yet strengthened the Dutch National Team.
This season, Luca played in the Dutch Junior League competition or the U-21 Div. 1 Fall. He is even one of the 5 young players who have also been awarded a professional contract by the Dutch club in mid-May.
The 19-year-old player started his football career at a young age. Luca has known the world of round skin from the age of 5. At that time, he joined a club from a small village in the Netherlands, DSC Diepenveen.
Luca’s presence in the U-19 national team is also believed to enliven the competition in the right-back sector. The reason is, so far Bagas Kaffa does not have equal competitors to fight for the post.
For the record, currently the U-19 Indonesia National Team has four descent players. They are Elkan Baggott, Jack Brown, Kelana Mahessa and Luah Mahesa.
Elkan Baggott is a player of Indonesian-English descent, who plays with the English team, Ipswich Town. While Jack Brown is also of Indonesian-British descent, he previously played with Lincoln City.
The other names of other players who have just joined the Indonesian U-19 national team are siblings, Kelana and Luah. Both are of Indonesian-German descent playing for Bonner SC.
