Luc Roduit did not disappoint in the first leg of the Youth Olympic Games slalom. He, who has already won two bronze medals – in super-G and giant – can once again climb the podium in slalom. At the end of the first leg, at Les Diablerets, he was fourth at 1’’16 from the Swedish Adam Hofstedt, who crushed this first course. The Valaisan is only two hundredths behind the Austrian prodigy, Philipp Hoffmann, great dominator of the giant and third in this first round. Second, Italian Edoardo Saracco is 73 hundredths from the provisional leader.
The second round at 3 p.m.
Behind, two skiers are in ambush for a place on the podium: the Frenchman Baptiste Sambuis and the Croatian Tvrtko Ljutic. They are less than two tenths from third place. Seven slalomers are less than a second from Luc Roduit.
Among the top twenty competitors, there were no less than five eliminations. Among them, some favorites.
