LTV journalist and presenter Ieva Strazdiņa has decided to leave all her jobs and leave Latvia to regain her strength. She has moved to her fiance’s homeland, Scotland, writes “Privatāt Dzīve” publication this week.

She made the decision to leave her job at Latvian Television last November, and the lease on Strazdiņa’s apartment also expired at the end of the year. The decision to move to Edinburgh in Scotland was made with her fiancé Adam. Whether she will stay there completely, Strazdiņa cannot say yet.
As Ieva herself explains to “Privataj Dzīve”, she created the program “Revidents” for LTV, prepared news stories for “Rīta Panorāma” and “Panorama” in the evening, and also worked at radio SWH News Service. Strazdiņa did just that, as she ran and worked – her working day usually started around five in the morning and ended at ten in the evening. Blue circles under her eyes have already indicated overwork, and the journalist has realized that she is on the verge of burnout.
The beloved man was also not at peace with the amount of work of his girlfriend; he has given Eve an ultimatum: while in Edinburgh, she must only rest, not work.
As Strazdiņa tells the magazine, her resignation was received with understanding on television and they look forward to her return. Meanwhile, Ieva herself allows the possibility of returning to Riga if life in Scotland is not to her liking.
