Dubai, June 6, WAM, Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, won the presidency of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association for the Gifted.
And by the majority of votes in the elections conducted by the association during its regular general assembly meeting, which was held at the Dubai Police Officers Club, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Community Development, the rest of the members of the association and a number of those interested in the affairs of the gifted, and members of the new board of directors and reserve members were also elected.
The elections resulted in the re-election of the members, Dr. Mansour Al-Awar, Munira Safar, Dr. Shafea Al-Nyadi, Dr. Saif Al-Jabri, and Dr. Diala Al-Ibrahim, while new members entered the Board of Directors, Hassan Mirza Al-Sayegh, and the election of Moza Al-Khatiri as a reserve board member.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim praised the members of the Board of Directors and all the association’s associates, stressing that they have made great efforts over the past years that resulted in many achievements that are in the care of the talented and developing their abilities, especially in the fields of programming and artificial intelligence.
His Excellency explained that the association will celebrate its silver jubilee, which will fall on Thursday, corresponding to the 23rd of next November.
He affirmed the association’s progress in performing its mission in the talent industry, through the development of new programs and plans that are in line with the great development in all aspects of life in the country, especially in the field of artificial intelligence and information technology.
During the meeting, the minutes of the previous General Assembly meeting were ratified, the financial and administrative reports for the past year were presented, and the Board of Directors’ report on its work in the past year was approved, then the administrative report for the year 2022 was presented, the activity programs and the work plan during the current year, and the draft budget for the year 2023 was approved. And discussing the final account for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2022 AD, discussing suggestions submitted by members, examining the auditor and determining his reward.
The plan for the new year 2023 of the Emirates Association for the Gifted was also reviewed, its strategy approved, and the implementation mechanism and performance indicators set in accordance with the achievements and results that the association annually achieves, as follows: Launching and implementing the first session of the UAE Geniuses Program in the Technology Industry in cooperation with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, And conducting international intelligence tests to discover gifted citizens at the state level to include (200) male and female students, and implementing awareness campaigns on the importance and how to care for the gifted, giving lectures and implementing training workshops related to talents and their development in various educational institutions as well as government institutions, and building a social and scientific communication environment with scientists and the talented Among the Emiratis who are in the country or on scholarships to study outside the country and the implementation of the Emirati Talent Day 2023 with the participation of talented people from various state institutions, and the launch of the first issue of the association’s magazine (Mawhiba Watan Magazine).
