The semifinals will start this Wednesday and will continue tomorrow, the 6th, in the field of the occupants of positions three and four in the qualifying phase, that is, the Giraldo Córdova Cardín room, in Avilanian territory, and the Ramón Fonst multipurpose room, in this capital.
Both clashes should start at three in the afternoon, if there is no last minute variation.
Then the actions will be transferred to the Hero City and Guaso on the 9th, 10th and 12th of this month, if it is necessary to play all the matches in that instance of the postseason.
The Mambisas from Santiago, current champions of the contest, led the preliminary segment with 13 wins and only one loss, so they are serious candidates to reissue last year’s title.
In the other confrontation, the Guantanamo, runner-up of the last edition, seem to be the ones with the best chances of advancing to the final, although their rivals will try to do the same.
The women from Santiago (13-1) occupied the top of the standings in the LSB, escorted by the Guantánamo team (11-3), together with Avileñas and Capitalinas (9-5), in the vanguard quartet.
The places were then completed by the women from Sancti Spiritus (7-7), the women from Camagüey (5-9), Villa Clara (2-12) and in the background the women from Pinar del Río (0-14).
