**Charley Hull:** It’s⁣ definately upsetting. Basically, fake ⁣social media‍ accounts are pretending to be me and reaching out to fans. ‍They’re ⁢promising things ⁤like meet-and-greets or exclusive fan club memberships in exchange for money or gift cards.

**WTN:** How⁣ did you first become aware of these ⁣scams?

**CH:** I⁣ noticed a few⁣ suspicious accounts popping up a while back. Then, just recently, there was ‍an incident at ⁤a tournament where a ⁣fan approached me, confused because they had‌ already “paid” someone‍ online to meet me. That’s when I knew I had to ⁣address⁤ this publicly again and⁢ make sure my fans are protected.

**WTN:** What ⁤steps are you taking to combat these imposters?

**CH:** ⁢My team and I are working ‍to report these‌ fake accounts to the relevant social⁣ media platforms. We’re ‌also trying to ⁣spread awareness about this ‍issue through‌ my official accounts. It’s vital‍ that ⁢my‍ fans know I would never ask for money⁢ for meet-and-greets or⁢ memberships.

**WTN:** What advice would you give to fans who think ⁤they might have ⁣encountered one of these scams?

**CH:** Firstly, don’t ⁣send any money or gift cards to anyone claiming ‌to be me ⁢online except through official channels. Always double-check the account name and⁣ look⁣ for verification badges. ⁤If something feels off, trust your instincts and reach out to me⁢ directly through my official ⁤accounts:‌ @charley.hull on Instagram and @hullcharley ⁢on X (formerly Twitter).
