Eduardo Videgaray, television host, wrote this Friday that Emilio Lozoya, former director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), is going to invent everything in order to save his skin.
In his Twitter account, he said why believe in the “NO SUBSTITUTE sayings of a proven criminal like Emilio Lozoya”, after his accusations against his brother Luis Videgaray.
This message is given after the newspaper Reforma published that Emilio Lozoya revealed that he gave 52 million 380 thousand pesos in bribes to legislators of the National Action Party (PAN), to approve the reforms promoted by the political agreement Pact for Mexico, especially energy reform.
According to information obtained by said newspaper, Luis Videgaray Caso and former President Enrique Peña Nieto were the ones who devised the strategy and asked Lozoya to send the first 6.8 million pesos to Ricardo Anaya Cortés, who then during the period in which the Panista chaired the board of directors of the Chamber of Deputies.
According to this version, through third parties, between December 11, 2013 and April 21, 2014, Lozoya sent 52 million 380 thousand pesos to PAN legislators.
