By order of Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev for Deputy Minister of Agriculture and food is appointed Dr. Lozana Vasileva, starting from August 5, when Tanya Georgieva resigned from the same post. Her candidacy was proposed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Georgi Tahov.
Lozana Vasileva is a doctor of agricultural economics. He obtained his academic degree at the University of National and World Economy (UNSE). There is also a specialization in organic agriculture at the University of South Bohemia in the Czech Republic. From 13.07.2023 to the present, Dr. Lozana Vasileva is the Deputy Executive Director of the State Fund “Agriculture”. From May 2017 to May 2021, Dr. Lozana Vasileva is the Deputy Minister of Agriculture with delegated portfolios Rural Development Program, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Program and National Viticulture Program. Responsible for DFZ and the National Agricultural Advisory Service. In August 2014, she was appointed executive director of DFZ, and in November of the same year she became deputy executive director of the institution. From 2003 to 2004, he worked as a senior expert in agrostatistics in the Regional Directorate “Agriculture and Forestry”, Pazardzhik. Since 2009, he heads the Regional Directorate of DFZ, Pazardzhik.
