According to Agung, who is a loyalist of Amien Rais, Mumtaz’s statement is embarrassing and shows a disgraceful attitude in politics.
“What Mumtaz Rais did is really very embarrassing because what he did was a small portrait of a large part of the old party elite who were not only anxious and panicked, but showed a disgraceful attitude,” said Agung in a short message to the media crew on Thursday. (3/9).
Apart from being embarrassing, said Agung, Mumtaz’s statement seemed to attack Amien Rais.
According to him, this is ironic, because Mumtaz is Amien’s son.
As a child, said Agung, Mumtaz should be more civilized in politics.
“Seeing Mumtaz’s attitude that seemed to attack Pak Amien Rais as the father who raised him, it is really outside the very religious society of society, so it can be judged that Mumtaz, who is the Chair of the PAN DPP, is so willing to treat his parents like that, especially only people who have the status of PAN cadres, “he said.
Agung also questioned PAN’s attitude as an organization for Mumtaz’s attack on Amien.
