Lowes Champion, 12th Pertamina Mandalika

Sam Lowes back-to-back win after defeating KTM duo, Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez, in the race Moto2 Doha 2021 at the Losail Circuit, Qatar, Sunday (4/4). While Pertamina Mandalika failed to finish in the top 10.

Lowes had stiff resistance from Sky VR46 racer Marco Bezzecchi on the first lap. Meanwhile, Gardner and Fernandez have been able to press since the first lap.

Bezzecchi, Lowes, Gardner and Fernandez were able to open the gap with the riders behind him from the first two laps. Bezzecchi then lost pole position after being overtaken by Lowes at the first corner on the third lap.

Bezzecchi then lost his podium position after being overtaken by the KTM duo. The competition for the first position of the Doha Moto2 in 2021 also took place between Lowes and Gardner.

Lowes managed to beat Gardner through fierce resistance until the last corner. Gardner’s mistake in entering the final corner too quickly made Lowes win in the Doha Moto2.

Pertamina Mandalika driver Bo Bendsneyder started the race quite well by moving up four places to 11th on the first lap. However, the Dutchman was never able to break into the top ten and finish in 12th position.

The results of the Doha Moto2 leave Lowes temporarily at the top of the standings with 50 points, while Gardner is second with 40 points.
