Striker Badjie moves from Werder Bremen to Oldenburg

Oldenburg (dpa / lni) – Attacking player Kebba Badjie is moving from the Bundesliga soccer team Werder Bremen to the third division promoted VfB Oldenburg. Both clubs announced this on Wednesday without reference to contract details. “Kebba is an extremely talented player who can be used flexibly offensively and who has already proven his class,” said Oldenburg’s sporting director Sebastian Schachten.

The 22-year-old Badjie already played for local rivals VfL Oldenburg in the 2018/19 season before moving to Werder’s regional league team. Last season, Bremen loaned the Gambian-born winger to Hallescher FC. Badjie is the fourth new signing after the Oldenburg team were promoted to the third division after Kamer Krasniqi (BSV Rehden), Dominique Ndure (Holstein Kiel II) and Justin Plautz (FC St. Pauli II).
