Man sinks into the channel with a car

Wiesmoor (dpa / lni) – In an accident in Wiesmoor in East Friesland, a man sank with his car in a small Fehnkanal next to the road on Sunday evening. However, he was able to free himself from the car on his own, said the regional control center in East Frisia. The car almost completely sank into the canal. There was no information as to how the accident could have happened. Fehn canals used to be used to open up moor areas, and there are numerous such narrow bodies of water in East Friesland.
