28-year-old Stader arrested after car fires

Stade (dpa / lni) – After renewed arson attacks on parked cars in Stade, the police arrested a 28-year-old man. The Stader had already been taken into custody a few weeks ago on suspicion of a series of car fires, but had to be released at the time because there were no grounds for detention. The suspect was brought before the magistrate at the Stade district court on Wednesday, according to a police statement. He issued an arrest warrant and the 28-year-old was taken to a prison in Lower Saxony. Investigations into the series of arson attacks that have damaged or destroyed nearly 20 cars since January 3 are ongoing.
