In its update of the epidemiological panorama for coronavirus, the Federal Health Secretariat (Ssa) reported only one new contagion confirmed in the last 24 hours in Jalisco, which reached 83 cases with symptoms plus four asymptomatic. The number of deaths in the Entity remains at three.
At the national level the Ssa It registered 145 new infections and confirmed four more deaths from complications derived from this disease. The accumulated reached 993 people affected by the virus and 20 deaths.
Mexico City, with 196 cases, is the area with the highest incidence, the State of Mexico rose to second place by confirming 119 cases and Jalisco dropped to third with 83 cases with symptoms.
Regarding deaths, seven were reported in the country’s capital, Jalisco has three, San Luis Potosí and Hidalgo have registered two respectively. There is a confirmed death in Coahuila, Durango, Michoacán, Morelos, Puebla and Quintana Roo
For its part, the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) reported that 55 cases reported as suspects of COVID-19 were discarded, upon receipt of negative results. The SSJ has studied suspicious cases in 61 municipalities of the State, confirming cases only in five of them: Zapopan, Guadalajara, Cuautla, Tomatlan Y Tecolotlán. The state agency confirmed that, in the last 48 hours, no new death has been recorded in the State.
He explained that of the 87 positive people (sick and asymptomatic) 90 percent had mild symptoms, so they follow a management and care of the infection in their homes; while eight people have been hospitalized. So far, three of them were discharged for improvement and two patients continue to be hospitalized – in a private hospital and one in Social Security – in a serious and delicate condition, respectively.
The highest proportion of infections occurs in males (55 percent). The most affected age group is that of 50-54 years with a proportion of 14 percent.
Of the confirmed cases 44 have been reported in Zapopan, 28 in Guadalajara, 7 in Cuautla, 2 in Tomatlan, one in Tecolotlán and a person comes from another state.
